Effect of coursework on the odds of prioritizing the concepts of common ancestry and shared ancestry of humans. The figure shows the estimates from two independently estimated binary logit models. The filled circles represent the estimated effect of each independent variable on the odds of designating a topic a “high priority,” and the horizontal lines show the 95% confidence interval. The vertical reference line represents the null hypothesis of no effect (an odds ratio of 1.0). An effect is significant at the 0.05 level whenever the confidence interval does not intersect the reference line. Full results are reported in Appendix Table 5
