The right panel shows the estimates from an ordinary least squares regression model. The filled circles represent the estimated effect of each independent variable, and the horizontal lines show the 95% confidence interval. The vertical reference line represents the null hypothesis of no effect (a regression slope of 0.0). An effect is significant at the 0.05 level whenever the confidence interval does not intersect the reference line. Full results are reported in Appendix Table 3
