The relationship between changes in students’ NOS conceptions and evolutionary attitudes. Changes in NOS conceptions, as measured by the normalized gains of total scores on the TSSI, are significantly positively correlated with changes in attitudes towards evolution, measured by normalized gains of total scores on the MATE tool. The value of r indicated in the figure (0.355), is Pearson’s correlation coefficient for the two variables.
