The relationship between predicted grade and the number of questions answered correctly on the post-intervention assessment under the two activity types: analyzing (0) or building (1) trees. The horizontal lines mark the transition between earning one less point on the assessment and one additional point (that is, the lowest lines, labeled 4 to 5, mark the transitions between getting a 4 (below the line) and a 5 (above the line) on the assessment). The red dotted lines indicate the 95% point-wise confidence envelope for the model. The short vertical bars at the bottom of the figure are the actual student predicted grades observed in the course.
